Les travaux dans RÉALISE de 2007 à 2014
Le laboratoire Gestion des Risques abordera le thème des bio- et nouveaux carburants pour automobiles. Les émissions polluantes seront analysées en situation réelle ou proche de la réalité. Pour cela, le laboratoire s'équipera d'un banc moteur instrumenté pour l'analyse des émissions. Les matériaux catalytiques actuellement utilisés pour traiter les émissions liées à l'utilisation de l'essence ou du gazole seront dans un premier temps utilisés pour le traitement de ces polluants. Ils seront ensuite modifiés, en collaboration avec le laboratoire LMSPC, pour accroître leur efficacité dans le traitement des polluants détectés.
Les méthodes d’étude développées dans le cadre de la dépollution automobile (sources mobiles) vont être appliquées à la dépollution des fumées issues de la combustion du bois et de la biomasse (sources fixes). En effet, la valorisation de la biomasse par combustion nécessitera de prendre en compte les questions environnementales, notamment l’émission des COV et des particules qu’il s’agira de réduire, voire de supprimer, par des procédés adaptés. A cet effet, des études sur la caractérisation des COV et de leur réactivité ainsi que celle des aérosols à l’émission de sources fixes seront développées. Ces travaux seront menés en concertation avec des entreprises locales et avec le soutien des instances régionales et départementales.
